Hitmaker Andy Kim to Join Tommy Brunett’s All-Star Cavalcade of Scoundrels at Hoochenanny Whiskey & Music Festival

Early-Bird Pass Pricing Available Through May 31

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — May 29, 2025 — Hoochenanny Whiskey & Music Festival is proud to announce that legendary songwriter and performer Andy Kim will join Tommy Brunett’s All-Star Cavalcade of Scoundrels on Saturday, August 9, at Camp Eastman. With a career that spans decades and includes some of the most beloved songs in pop history, Andy Kim brings undeniable star power to the Hoochenanny stage.

A true icon, Kim is behind two No. 1 Billboard hits, “Sugar, Sugar” and “Rock Me Gently.” His career includes nine Top 40 hits, more than 30 million records sold, and honors from the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and Billboard’s Hit Parade Hall of Fame. He is also a recipient of the Order of Canada, the nation’s highest civilian honor.

From his early days walking into the Brill Building in New York City to ask for five minutes with Jeff Barry, to founding his own label and climbing back to the top of the charts on his own terms, Kim’s story is a testament to perseverance, creativity, and staying true to the music. His work has been covered by legends like Ike and Tina Turner, Wilson Pickett, and Bob Marley. In recent years, collaborations with artists such as Ed Robertson of Barenaked Ladies and Kevin Drew of Broken Social Scene have introduced his music to new generations.

His annual Andy Kim Christmas concert, now in its 20th year, has raised more than $2.25 million for children’s charities. In 2021, he received the Key to the City of Toronto, and December 8 is officially recognized as Andy Kim Day.

“I wore out Andy Kim’s 45s when I was a kid — needle sunk deep in the groove, heart right there with it. Now he’s not just on the turntable, he’s on the stage with me,” said Tommy Brunett, co-founder of Hoochenanny and frontman of the All-Star Cavalcade of Scoundrels. “A legend, a lifer and one of my very best pals. Gonna be a ripper!”
